Hi! I'm Devanshu.

(pronounced they•vān•shoe) (he/him)

(Please bear with me as I resurrect my portfolio – so much NDA work from my time at Comcast, and same with Designation)

I’m very happily married and enjoy spending as much time outside as I can.  I’ve kayaked the entire length of the Schuylkill River thrice. I aim to spend my life being as useful to as many people as possible. I’m 36, currently residing and working 100% remotely in Maine (I just moved here on Sep 1). Starting EMT training in a couple of weeks because I live on an island with very few resources.

I also host art and cooking classes, and love being a mentor to kids at summer camps.

I go by Dev for people who can’t or won’t pronounce my name correctly.

Contractor, Oct 2019 – Mar 2022

FTE Information Architect 4, Mar 2022 – July 2025

Responsibilities

I was responsible for building and maintaining a semantic design system, defining and implementing WCAG guidelines, and recording all design documentation. I built and maintained a component library using Figma and Storybook to reduce fidelity issues and alleviate the load on the QA team. My process included conducting user research, interviews, and building personas, journey maps, and user flow maps in a Lean UX environment. I also created wireframes, functional prototypes, interaction animations, and end-to-end service design documents for each feature. My work extended to building tools and documentation to onboard new users and gather in-app feedback, which was a previously missing channel.

In Numbers

I managed the end-to-end UX processes for an enterprise application that handles over $3 billion worth of invoices and is used by more than 110,000 internal and external users. By conducting quarterly user research and usability testing across three national divisions, I achieved a 65% increase in user satisfaction and an 80% decrease in user task completion time. I also supervised three cross-functional Agile teams to build and maintain a single React component library, which resulted in a 40% increase in project completion rates and a 55% reduction in time-to-market for three separate applications.

Above and Beyond

Beyond my core responsibilities, I successfully integrated all Comcast security measures, earning an orange belt in the security process. I also designed, developed, and launched two supplemental websites that supported process documentation and training, which are viewed daily by over 8,000 users. Additionally, I built the brand identity for the entire suite of applications, unifying the visual experience and teams.
